Home Visits

Doctor's bag

If you need to see a GP but are too unwell to visit the practice, a GP may visit you at home. Due to time constraints, GPs are only able to visit those patients who are housebound or too unwell to be moved. If you feel you need a house call, please ‘phone the surgery before 10:00. A doctor or nurse will usually ‘phone you to briefly assess your symptoms and to determine whether a home visit is appropriate.
