MSK/Physiotherapy

Advanced Practice Physiotherapist

From June 2021, Main Street Medical Centre is delighted to welcome an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to our team. Stephen Cosgrove will work alongside the GPs on a Wednesday and Friday each week and is a specialist in all musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Stephen will be the first clinical point of contact for all MSK conditions and appointments can be made via our trained reception team, or alternatively, by a referral route from the GP. You can also self refer to the MSK Physio Service.

MSK/Physiotherapy

An MSK (musculoskeletal) physiotherapist can provide expert assessment and advice to help you manage pain, disability and injury to your joints, muscles or spine. We do this through questioning and physical assessment. We want to know what impact these problems are having on your life. Together we will discuss ways we can help aid your recovery and guide you to achieve your goals.
If you are unable to attend your appointment: 0141 347 8909

Musculoskeletal (MSK) Helpline

The helpline is operated by the Musculoskeletal Advice and Triage Service (MATS) and is provided by fully trained call operators, nurses and physiotherapists. This service can help by: finding out if you need to see a doctor, providing key information and advice to help with your problem, referring you to a physiotherapist or podiatrist if you need it.

NHS 24 MSK Help app

The NHS 24 MSK Help app was developed with the help of Scottish patients, doctors, MSK therapists, pharmacists and employment services. The information contained in this app is linked to muscle, bone and joint self-management information on NHS inform.
